Product overview: Mooring ropes Application: Shipping
The Atlas rope is made from best available raw material: - Each strand is made from low elongation Perlon monofilament and and special PA6 multifilament-core is made from special PA6 multifilament – no mixed materials are used. It is a 6-stranded mooring rope with outstanding characteristics: - High breaking load and good elongation guaranteeing a safe, quick and easy mooring operation on all kind off vessels, such as Ro-Ros, ferries, passenger ships, bulkers, containerships. - Elongation is big enough to absorb shock loads, and small enough to ensure a constant positioning of the vessels even in bad environments because of it`s high load breaking capacity with low stretch. - Excellent absorption of movement caused by swell, wind squalls, and passing ships - High bending cycles - Easy handling - Best possible spooling on the winch - Very good lifetime subject to abnormal abrasion with virtually no inner fatique. During use the outer strands form a kind of fiber fleece which helps to protect the rope from abrasion. - No sparks, no risk of accident by meat hooks, resistant against light and rot. - Absolutely no maintenance required. - Easy splicing Technical data - Diameter 18 – 96 mm - Dura Float S6 Density: 0,99 - floating |
